MLA style for articles from different sources, namely, magazines, journals, blogs, websites, and governmental resources among others, either printed or online, requires providing as much available information as possible.

Magazines

Printed

Author, Name. “Article Title.” Magazine Name, date month year, pages.
In-text citation

According to Author, …. (page).

or sentence (Author page).
Online

Author, Name. “Article Title.” Magazine Name, date month year, www.(url without http). Accessed date month year.
In-text citation

According to Author or sentence (Author)

Academic professional journal articles

One author

Two authors

Three or more authors

The author is not known

Pay attention that when the author is not known, the following format is used:

“Article Title.” Journal Name, vol. , no. , year, pp.

In -text citation: (“Article Title” page).

Website articles

Author, Name. “Article Title.” Publisher (Institution Related to the Site), date month year, www. Accessed data moth year

When the publishing date is unavailable, the format is as follows:

Author, Name. “Article Title.” Publisher (Institution Related to the Site), www. Accessed data moth year
Blog posts

Consider citing blog posts similarly to website aricles.

Website citation

Name of the Website. Publisher, Date of Site Creation, url. Accessed date month year.

In general, using the MLA style for articles, present all available information about the source; if there is no date or other data, just omit it. Gather as much sources as possible to support data in the paper and give evidence before starting writing.
